Wow! I absolutely loved staying here, it's by far been my favourite hotel in Japan so far. The rooms are very spacious and the bedding very comfortable. Absolutely loved the big bathroom and rainfall shower. Close walking distance to everything you need. The staff was amazing. Very friendly and helpful. Even walked us out and waved goodbye as we drove away in our taxi. Felt as if I was leaving family.
The free breakfast of toasted sandwiches wasn’t the best, but absolutely all you need for a quick snack in the morning. The location was a little further out from the main transportation hub than I probably wanted, but that’s not the hotel's fault.

I had a fantastic stay at The General Kyoto Bukkoji Tominokoji! The rooms were beautiful and completely new, giving me a true taste of Japan. The hotel's location in the heart of the city was perfect, just a short walk away from all the main streets and attractions. The breakfast, although consisting of various toasts, was surprisingly delicious and satisfying. I also appreciated the constant availability of water, coffee/tea, and little snacks throughout the day. I would definitely choose to stay at this hotel again!

During our romantic escape, we had a pleasant stay at a hotel that offered complimentary bikes to explore the city and basic breakfast options. The hotel was situated in a central location, which made it easy to walk to nearby attractions. We also appreciated the accommodating staff who were helpful and polite throughout our stay.
We were disappointed that there was no TV in the room, and we would have appreciated a list of available services in English upon arrival. It would have been helpful to know about amenities like a guest kitchen or laundry room earlier on in the trip.

Staff not good in English but friendly, rooms are clean and cosy. Good location walking distance to Metro station. the bikes are a great little addition to zip around the city.
The amenities are not great. You have to ask Reception for everything like a toothbrush, shaver, lotion, etc.
